Today we are going to talk about the Wireless automation and features in Cisco Prime Infrastructure and Cisco DNA Center. The approach in Cisco DNA center is little different than that of Cisco Prime Infrastructure. let's take one by one feature and the support in Cisco DNA center and Cisco prime Infrastructure. 

Cisco Prime Infrastructure: Cisco Prime Infrastructure is a network management tool that supports lifecycle management of your entire network infrastructure from one graphical interface. With the help of Cisco Prime we can converged management for ease of monitoring, troubleshooting, and reporting.

Cisco DNA Center: Cisco DNA Center automates your campus network for faster workflows, faster troubleshooting through more visibility, and policy-driven security. Cisco DNA center is a network controller and management dashboard that lets you take charge of your network, optimize your Cisco investment, secure your remote workforce, and lower your IT spending.

Features: Prime Infrastructure vs Cisco DNA Center

  • Config Compliance for Wireless: As Cisco Prime has a feature of Compliance policies (Create compliance policies, run Compliance policies and remediate). This feature is still in road map of Cisco DNA Center. The current stable release of Cisco DNA Center is 2.2.2.2.
  • Out of box templates: Well Out of box templates are supported in the Cisco Prime Infrastructure while is in road map of Cisco DNA center.
  • Interface Groups : Available and supported in Cisco Prime Infrastructure and in road map of Cisco DNA center.
