Cisco SDWAN: Configure vManage certificate settings (Symantec)

Cisco Viptela SDWAN

Configure vManage certificate settings

We will go through the procedure of configuring the vManage certificate settings on the vManage. We have multiple options like Symantec ( Automatic);  Symantec ( Manual) and Enterprise Root certificate.

Procedure of configuring vManage certificate settings
Step 1: On the vManage GUI, go to Administration>Settings.

Step 2: To the right of Controller Certificate Authorization, Click Edit.

Step 3: Select Symantec Manual if it is not already selected. If this is a change from the current configuration, you may get a pop-up window asking to confirm that you want to change the certificate authority which is used for authentication. Click Proceed.

After Symantec or your enterprise root CA has signed the certificates, they return the files containing the individual signed certificates. Place them on a server in your local network

Install Certificate
Step 1: In the Controllers tab, click Install Certificate. In the Install Certificate window, select a file, or copy and paste the certificate text.

Step 2: Click Install to install the certificate on the device. The certificate contains information that identifies the controller, so you do not need to select the device on which to install the certificate.

Step 3: Repeat Steps the steps above to install additional certificates.
