BFD tunnel statistics in Cisco Viptela SDWAN

Now you understand the BFD as we discussed the same in our previous article, it is important get in deeper discussion on the BFD and we are going to talk about the tunnel statistics in BFD for Cisco Viptela SDWAN.

BFD tunnel statistics can display information about the data plane tunnels, you can easily see if you are sending or receiving packets for a particular IPSEC tunnel between the vEdges. This can help you understand if packets are making it on each end, and isolate connectivity issues between the nodes.

We will discuss two commands here for tunnel statistics

Note ⭐: "show tunnel statistics" can display information about the data plane tunnels and sending/receiving packets for a particular IPSEC tunnel between the vEdges

Note ⭐: "show tunnel statistics bfd" that can be used to check the number of BFD packets sent and received within particular data plane tunnel
