Viptela SDWAN: Command difference between Cisco Viptela vEdge and cEdge

 Today I am going to talk about some of the important commands used in Cisco Viptela SDWAN devices and the comparison of that commands between vEdges and cEdges used. As most of you know that vEdge is Viptela device and cEdge is Cisco device using SDWAN image. 

Cisco Viptela SDWAN vEdge devices are below models 

  • vEdge-100: five fixed 10/100/1000 Mbps ports.
  • vEdge 100b: Ethernet only
  • vEdge 100m: Ethernet and integrated 2G/3G/4G modem
  • vEdge-1000: 8 ports of fixed GE SFP
  • vEdge-2000: 2 Pluggable Interface Modules
  • vEdge-5000: 4 Network Interface Modules
Cisco Viptela SDWAN cEdge routers are below models 

  • ISR 1100-4G: 4 GE WAN ports
  • ISR 1100-4GLTE: 4 GE WAN ports, 4G LTE (CAT4)
  • ISR 1100-6G: 6 GE WAN ports (4 GE and 2 SFP)
  • ISR & ASR Series: With IOS XE SD-WAN software image, SD-WAN capability can be enabled on select ISR 1000 series, ISR 4000 series and ASR 1000 series routers. 
  • ENCS: With IOS XE SD-WAN software image, SD-WAN capability can be enabled on select ENCS 5000 series platforms. 
  • CSR 1000V are the cloud elements of the SD-WAN solution. 
  • Cisco 8300 and Cisco 8500 SDWAN routers
