 Hyper-V and Veeam Agent Backup

Today we are going to discuss about the Hyper V and the Veeam agent backup. As many of you know that in a virtual environment, it is possible to restore a Veeam Agent machine as a Hyper-V VM using the Veeam Backup & Replication console.

Backups created on Veeam' s backup repository can be used for instant recovery of Hyper-V VMs. The Veeam Agent backups located in the Veeam Cloud Connect repository cannot be used for this operation.

In most cases, instant recovery for a Veeam Agent computer is the same as for a virtual machine. As compared with instant VM recovery, Veeam Agent computers are always restored to a new location, which means that you don't need to select the recovery mode.

Restoring Files and Folders
You can restore individual files and folders from Veeam Agent backups using the Veeam Backup & Replication console.

You can have two types of storage for Veeam Agent backups and these are Veeam Cloud Connect repository & Veeam backup repository.

Cloud repository storage type can perform restore tasks in Veeam backup & Replication on the backup servers. 

You can also restored the objects in Microsoft windows for various applications like Microsoft AD; Microsoft Exchange; Microsoft SharePoint; Oracle and SQL server with the help of Veeam backup & Replication.
