Cisco SDA: Introduction to PxGrid & its Role

The Cisco Platform Exchange Grid (PxGrid) is a platform that enables applications to be integrated into the Cisco pxGrid, a multivendor, cross-platform network system that combines various components of an IT environment, such as security monitoring and detection systems, network policy platforms, asset and configuration management, and identity management platforms.

When new business or operational needs arise, pxGrid allows context exchange with Cisco products, such as the Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE) or any Cisco partner that supports pxGrid.

Cisco pxGrid provides an API that opens a unified framework that enables integration to pxGrid once, then shares context data with any other platform that supports pxGrid.

This hub and spoke architecture allow for a single integration to pxGrid and eliminates the need to adopt a host of individual, platform-specific APIs
